My first experience with Eleuthera was over 25 years ago..and I fell in love with the quiet beauty of it's many beaches and friendly locals.  It's taken a  long time and many trips to finally be able to purchase property here.  I started Mimosa Cottage with the belief that every vacation should be a unique and unforgettable experience.    I hope you enjoy that experience as much as I do.

  Eleuthera is one of the most beautiful and friendly of all the Bahamas 'family' islands. Easily accessible from the U.S. and especially accessible from Nassau. Endless miles of beautiful secluded pink sand beaches from one end of Eleuthera to the other. Goods and services are readily available. A wide variety of restaurants and bars are within easy reach. Great activities are happening on a regular basis in and around Governor's Harbour and throughout Eleuthera.  There are no large resorts or hotels on the island.  Everything is spread out and you will need to rent a vehicle while here.  You'll be on "island time"...so slow down, relax and enjoy the many local businesses and  meet the locals.   This will be a laid back vacation with no frills.  If you can't "chill" then know that "Eleuthera Is Not For Everybody".

Mimosa Cottage is centrally located right outside of the Governor's Harbor settlement.  Located on a small rising with a view of the Atlantic ocean from the wraparound porch.  The Governor's Harbour airport (GHB) and Queen's highway are  on the other side with the Caribbean waters (the Bight) a very short drive past the airport.  A quiet setting with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, we've made every effort to furnish the cottage with amenities to make your stay fun and relaxing.  Our goal is to make your vacation as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.  There will be a wonderfully delightful manager available to help you get settled in and take care of any issues during your vacation.
